Wow. This is more work than I thought it would be, but also a lot more fun…

When I decided to create this brand it was initially going to be a stationery and office brand for men. When it comes to office folders or thank you cards, they all seem to lack any real depth of masculinity. Sure we get the occasional camo, plaid, or argyle, but what about a nice geometric pattern? What about wooden textures and leather? The handful of products out there seemed almost inaccessible by the every day man, the every day man that likes personal swag and office products. As I did my research I realized that the reason those product lines are limited is because there isn’t much of a market for them. Men are spending their money on Crossfit or video games and with the money left over it goes to a Paleo diet or beer. I’m speaking in hyperbole of course, but you get the drift.

As I was doing my research I noticed a shirt for Austin, Texas. People love Austin and they want to represent for their city. The shirts I saw was simple, but it had a nice overall “Texas” vibe and we Texans sure are a proud people. So I decided to launch a lifestyle brand inspired by the city I love – Denton, Texas. I did my research and there were only a handful of products and even a smaller number or t-shirts or posters. This was a TRAVESTY! How could we go out into the rest of the world with plain shirts on our backs that didn’t scream out, Denton, Denton, DENTON!!! People need to know how cool our city is and how cool the people are that live here. We are kind and smart and funny. We love artisanal everything and craft brews, but we aren’t uppity. We can hula hoop in public and participate in a drum circle and it’s NORMAL.

So in the photo attached to this post is the second poster that was created for the beloved city of Denton, Texas. It is housed an in rustic frame that I scooped up at Hobby Lobby. It is an 18×24 print of our downtown square which is the heart of the city. From here you can hop on Oak Street and zip down to UNT or TWU. Hop on Hickory and hit up Harvest House or grab a taco from Flatlanders or a beer from Oak Street Draft House. And of course there is coffee on every corner.

So if you haven’t been to Denton, you are missing out and if you live here, then be sure and represent with some cool Denton Swag. Site Launch Black Friday 2015.
